GuitarFest 2010 Tickets NOW ON SALE!!!
JonnoPromotions supported by IOM Arts Council and in association with Manx Radio is pleased to announce that tickets for the Isle of Man & Manx Grand Prix GuitarFest 2010 are now on sale. Available online from http://www.villagaiety.com, by calling the Hotline 01624 600555 or going to the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal or the Villa Box Office. Booking fees may apply.
There are a range of concessions available and “Earlybird” tickets if you buy before 31 July. Pass the word on ... it’s gonna be a fun weekend!!!

Dan Arborise has been described as “John Martyn meets Nick Drake for the 21st Century”. He’s the first artist ever recommended by www.johnmartyn.com. UNCUT says of his work "acoustic guitar hymns to truth and beauty … beguiling”. Artist information from www.myspace.com/arborise.
Dynamic duo “Wingin’ It” – Danny Kyle Award Winners at Celtic Connections 2007 – are Adam Bulley (from The Southern Tenant Folk Union) on Mandolin and Guitar and Chas MacKenzie on Guitars www.myspace.com/wungit.

This gig is the start of The Hamsters’ Jimi Hendrix 40th Anniversary Memorial Tour (their last full Hendrix tour was 1995). Spanish guitar players and composers Roland Chadwick, Roland Gallery and Vincent Lindsey-Clark return to the Isle of Man for their Douglas debut. They have been playing together since 2001 and “each member of the trio brings his own unique contribution to the group: Vincent Lindsey-Clark, the academic: Roland Chadwick the charismatic and outrageous, and Roland Gallery, the pillar of support and sanity. The Modern Guitar Trio presents [a] wonderfully varied programme played to an extremely high standard. Richard Digance is quite simply one of the most entertaining acts you will ever see. Brilliant self-penned comic songs introduced with panache, style and outrageous humour. Richard is an evergreen performer who appeals to all ages, making him still one of Britain's top comedy and music attractions. He is highly respected by fellow comedians for his original material and by musicians for being one of Britain's top acoustic guitarists. He has appeared to an audience of 8 in The Falklands, half a million at Knebworth Festival and done thousands of shows in between, as well as occasionally finding 9 letter words on Countdown. Richard is also an accomplished artist and author.

Hi folks!
GuitarFest 2010 is going to happen on August Bank Holiday weekend. (Friday 27th – Sunday 29th August). Another weekend to look forward to, with top international acts ... and lots of free music on the Acoustic Stage in the Villa Arcade ...
